What inspired you to become a designer?
I've been creating for as long as I can remember -- sketching rooms, rearranging furniture, and making models of houses via foam boards then later on 3D rendering on my original Apple IMac computer. Over the years, my fascination with how spaces shape the way we live naturally led me to fall in love with architecture and design.
What's your favorite part of the design process?
My favorite part is really getting to know my clients -- learning about their lifestyles, personalities, and what makes them feel at home. There's something so rewarding about translating those stories into a design that feels uniquely theirs. Then of course, seeing their excitement when it all comes together.
Where do you find design inspiration?
I truly find the most inspiration in my clients themselves -- their stories, tastes, and the way they live. Every project becomes a collaboration shaped by who they are, which keeps each design fresh, personal, and meaningful.
What do you wish every client knew before starting a project?
I wish every client knew that my goal isn't to push my own style, but to design with them -- creating a space that truly reflects who they are and how they want to live. It's a collaborative process, and their vision is always at the heart of it
What was your favorite project you've ever worked on?
One of my favorite projects was designing a new-build retirement dream home on the water. The clients brought some beautiful furniture pieces from their home in Birmingham, and we blended them into an elegant coastal design that felt both fresh and familiar. We created a serene master bedroom with a sitting porc, welcoming guest rooms for their grandchildren, and an open living and dining space perfect for family gatherings. It was so special to help them create a retreat that honors their past while embracing this new chapter of life.
If you weren't an interior designer, what would you do for your job?
If I weren't an interior designer, I'd probably want to be an undercover investigator for the FBI or CIA. I've always loved solving puzzles, reading people, and digging beneath the surface -- which, in a way, isn't all that different from interior design in some ways!
