What inspired you to become a designer?

My journey into design began while working as a furniture sales associate in Destin, Florida, where I discovered how powerfully furniture and accessories could influence people's daily lives. I realized I wanted to move beyond simple retail transactions to develop deeper relationships with clients, being welcomed into their homes to blend their personal treasures with fresh design concepts. My passion lies in creating spaces that enhance not just appearance but also mood and functionality—whether it's where people entertain, relax, dine, sleep, or work. I believe design goes far beyond materials and aesthetics; it's about positively impacting mental wellbeing and quality of life by creating environments that truly boost people's happiness and comfort.

What's your favorite part of the design process?

My favorite part of the design process is presenting clients with their 3D renderings and room views, watching them visualize their newly designed space for the first time. This moment transforms our collaboration as they become truly interactive and engaged, allowing us to solidify every detail before moving forward with delivery. I love this stage because it represents the culmination of our teamwork—the beautiful moment when their vision comes to life through our shared creative process.

Where do you find design inspiration?

I find my design inspiration through constant observation and curiosity about the world around me. I actively follow a variety of design pages on social media and love roaming through cities, paying close attention to the furnishings and decor in stores, restaurants, and hotels. Rather than drawing from one specific source, my inspiration comes from observing how different designs genuinely inspire people and enhance their daily lives. It's this human connection—seeing how thoughtful design choices can transform spaces and uplift spirits—that fuels my creative process and drives my passion for creating meaningful environments.

What do you wish every client knew before starting a project?

I wish every client understood how profoundly their design choices impact their daily comfort and emotional well-being. Each room deserves to be thoughtfully designed with clear purpose, featuring properly proportioned and scaled furniture and décor that creates harmony and function. When you design with intention rather than impulse, you transform what might be a short-term purchase into a long-term investment that continues to enhance your quality of life for years to come.

What was your favorite project you've ever worked on?

My favorite project was a complete home remodel that required seamless coordination between myself, a kitchen and bath designer, and a home builder. I loved how our expertise integrated beautifully to transform one home, with my selections determining everything from tile and cabinets to flooring and wall paint colors. Working on this project truly felt like painting on a blank canvas, where our collaborative efforts turned the client's existing space into a stunning, completely reimagined home. The satisfaction of seeing how each professional's contributions came together to create something extraordinary made this project incredibly fulfilling.

If you weren't an interior designer, what would you do for your job?

It's difficult for me to imagine pursuing anything that doesn't involve designing or creating something meaningful. Before entering the design world, I worked in the food industry, catering authentic Cajun food to large crowds across the Florida panhandle. I could easily see myself returning to that passion—bringing the soulful flavors of Cajun cuisine to major events, concerts, and festivals while traveling across different states. There's something deeply satisfying about bringing joy to people through food, especially when you're sharing the rich culinary traditions
